Medical Transportation

Some Humana Medicare Advantage plans may cover your trip to a non-emergency health care appointment or pharmacy visit via public transportation or with a ride-sharing service like Lyft.

At home care givers through Humana are often paid around $15-20 an hour, though this will vary depending on location, experience, etc. 

Is Home Health Care Covered by Original Medicare?

Medicare Part A and Part B do cover some limited home health care services. A part-time home health care aide may be covered for a limited amount of time when certain conditions are met. In-home physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech-language pathology services can also be covered by Original Medicare.

Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is covered by Original Medicare. This can include wheelchairs, walkers and other items and supplies that are used primarily in the home.
